Fire Extinguisher Service & Inspection
Code Compliance
Silco inspects all fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10 to keep your facility in compliance at all times. Silco will track when your inspections are due and call to schedule when it is time for service.
We Never Swap
Unfortunately swapping extinguishers has become the industry norm. Swapping is the practice of swapping your extinguisher out with someone else’s when it comes due for service. We have seen many incidents of customers receiving older, smaller, different type, and rougher appearing extinguishers in place of the quality equipment they had invested in. Silco never swaps extinguishers. When your extinguisher comes due for a test, we leave a loaner extinguisher in its place and return your exact same extinguisher to the exact same location in 2-3 business days. Silco’s policy is to return all extinguishers the same week the inspection is performed.
Consistent Technicians / Prompt Service
We realize that a consistent technician is very important to our customers. Silco assigns a dedicated technician to your account so that we become familiar with you and your facility. Silco technicians are assigned all accounts in a clustered geographic area, which means your technician is always in the neighborhood. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Silco realizes that long term quality technicians and employees make the difference. Click here to learn more about our people.
Extinguisher Testing Capabilities
Few companies are DOT authorized to test low pressure and high pressure fire extinguisher cylinders. All of Silco’s testing facilities are DOT authorized for low and high pressure testing. These facilities also have a low pressure CO2 bulk tank as well as separate clean agent recovery systems for all 3 types of clean agent.
Fire Extinguisher Selection
Silco provides only extinguishers made in America from the 2 premier manufacturers, Ansul and Amerex. Let us help you in selecting the best extinguisher for your specific application.
Silco conducts annual fire extinguisher inspections for over 25,000 customers.
Classroom Training
Classroom training is conducted by a professional trainer and consists of a verbal presentation, training video, a training handout, class quiz, and certificate of completion for each participant.
Live Fire Training
Nothing truly replicates the experience of extinguishing a real fire. Silco can safely conduct live fire training at your facility. We can provide the full training program or supply you with the extinguisher you need to conduct your own training. Contact Us for details and pricing.
Simulated Fire Training
Silco has invested over $40,000 in an Ansul Fire Training Simulator. No fuel or chemical means no cleanup and zero environmental impact. Day or night, rain or shine there is no need to reschedule, since we are able to train in break rooms, warehouses, or any other open area. The Ansul Simulator meets OSHA requirements. Conduct simulator training in a conference room or any open area.
