Silco had been providing service for our IGA for the last few years. Things were OK and no complaints until recently when their technician came out for the annual inspection of our emergency exit signs.The technician never label them as being inspected like they usually do and when the fire marshal came to visit afterwards requested that we correct this within 30 daysI reached out to silco and she mentioned that will be sending out a technician at no cost to us.When the technician came out a week later And while he was on his ladder labeling our exit signs I had mentioned to him that a particular exit sign that he had inspected a few weeks earlier and one that he was about to label doesn’t seem to be working. He snapped the cover off and showed me that it’s an LED light that’s different than my other signs and it’s working fine.A few weeks later, I received a bill for $119 because they said the technician worked on my exit signs. I explained it to the person on the phone that he was only out to correct the work that he missed on a previous visit and that previous visit was paid.Customer service lady insisted that she checked with the technician and he did some work and if I do not pay, she’ll send me to collections.This is bad business as we counted on this company to work on our fire distinguishes our exit signs and our water backflow.This is bad customer service.

April 28th are sprinkler system had a default Quantin came out it worked on our sprinkler system and got the alarms to deactivate. Jordan also Very knowledgeable came out a few days later and helped showed the maintenance person on how to use the system if the problem would occur again. To deactivate the system until a staff person from their company to could get here. So quit going off and waking up the guess at the hotel.Reading their employees with an A+ on customer service and knowledge of there systems. Thank you to both of their employees for all their help.

We own and operate and assisted living community in Wadsworth and Dave and Dan personally volunteered to come out on the Saturday before Easter to ensure our fire system stayed operational and our residents remained safe. Their selflessness meant a lot to us and our residents. Our community was looking into pursuing other fire protection companies, and if it wasn’t for Dave being as responsive, empathetic, and understanding of our situation as he was, we would not still be using Silco. Our department needed our cascade bottles hydrotested, we called to have them picked up which was done on time. A short time later I received a call from Damian (sp) who had picked them up, and he told me that the vendor that was doing the testing said it would be a month before they could get them tested. We sent 4 bottles out to be tested and he offered to bring of them back since it was going to take longer than expected to get them in. Ultimately we decided to keep all 4 bottles together and have them tested at the same time. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of Damian and Silco in thinking about how this complication would affect our business. (The bottles were tested in about 2 weeks and brought back by Damian). Damian was polite, professional and very helpful throughout this whole process.

Hired Silco to do the full fire and alarm systems inspection for my church. They were very professional and answered all my questions during the inspection. Walked me through the process as they found deficiencies and were able to address several issues while still on site. The scheduling department was great in working with me to start the inspections as early as 6:30 and the billing department provided estimates on the additional issues they found within 30 mins. of the inspections. Great service and teamwork all the way around.

All interactions I have had with Silco has been amazing. We were having issues with out LiftMaster gate after someone ran into it and after calling ALL the numbers of "contractors" on LiftMasters website that service the units Silco was only 1 of 2 that still work on them. From the initial phone call the service was perfect. I left a message of what we needed and it must have been on the wrong voicemail because I received a call from PJ Trisket who listened to our problem and then had us set up in their system as a customer and a tech scheduled to come out the next morning all within a couple of hours. Wow, just wow. The next morning Ryan Stanford, the tech, showed up bright and early and in the cold rain. He listened to our issues and was so enthusiastic about the product. You don't meet people who are that passionate about their trade anymore, it was refreshing. While we had to do something in the time it took me to find a contractor we had one of the employees work on bending the arms back just to get us operational. Ryan expressed his praise in the work our employee had completed that there was only minimal that needed to be done once he arrived. But he was not disappointed and he shared his knowledge not only with me but also with our employee too. I asked him to give the unit a once over because it wasn't acting right from the original install and he did. He adjusted the settings and made sure everything was up and running as it should. Overall this has been the best customer service experience I have had in a very long time. What a breath of fresh air to meet not 1 but multiple people who you can tell just love where they work. Even a guy from another company that called me after Silco had already came out used to work for them and he didn't even have anything bad to say about the company. Actually his comment was "oh yeah, they will get you up and running for sure!" Silco is defiantly added to the list for future work. Thank you!

We have recently switched from one of the larger companies in our area due to inconsistencies in pricing and lack of follow through. In our first month with Silco we unfortunately had a fire in our manufacturing facility. We contacted David Weiland and he sent Dan Bashor immediately. dan arrived on site ready to work. This gentleman amazed me. He was VERY INFORMATIVE, VERY POLITE, VERY UNDERSTANDING of the urgency to get the system back to normal. My experience with Silco Fire & Security has been frustrating and disappointing. We received an initial estimate of $289, but upon receiving the bill, we were shocked to find it exceeded $611. Half of the job remains incomplete, and we're being asked for an additional $1060 to finish the project.The initial quote was meant to provide clarity on costs, but it seems more like a bait-and-switch tactic. The sales rep who provided the estimate lacked technical knowledge, and we were told that he's not an inspector. If that's the case, why send someone without technical expertise to give an estimate? It feels like an attempt to lure customers with a low quote just to secure the job.I strongly advise others to stay cautious when dealing with this company. Double-check their quotes, and don't rely solely on their initial estimates. The discrepancy between the quote and the final bill, coupled with the incomplete work, has left me questioning the integrity of their business practices.Overall, my experience has been less than satisfactory, and I cannot recommend it based on my recent encounter.

I would give them zero if I could. We paid them $13500 to install a Linear gate operator. They have no clue what they are doing. They came out SEVERAL times and still couldn't get it to function properly. They made us install the ground loop system because they don't know how to do it. We ended up buying a different controller ourselves and installing it ourselves. Then when they sent the tech out to set up the new controller, I had to download the software myself and copy the setup we use at another facility. We basically paid them for a system we couldn't even use, and then did the work ourselves!!!

At 12:05 He phoned to say that he was there and waiting which was very good news because as I was driving there I thought to myself I’ve got to sit and wait for about 25 minutes. When my electronic gate malfunctioned I called Silco. I had always used a different company for any gate issues but they had closed down and Silco took over their client list. I was somewhat reluctant because I have never used this company before. I was quickly put at ease after talking with Travis at Silco! Just from my explanation of what my gate was doing he was able to pinpoint the issue! He sent technicians out to assess the problem and they explained in detail what the problem was that was causing the gate to malfunction. A part needed to be ordered but Travis wasn’t comfortable making us wait so he went above and beyond to locate the part asap! The technicians (knowledgeable, personable and professional!) had my gate up in running in no time!! The weather was terrible the day they repaired the gate, raining and snowing, I asked the technician if he’d rather wait until the weather cleared up but he said it was no problem at all! And the cost was very reasonable!! I highly recommend this company!! While I’m sorry a business closed, I’m very happy that Silco now handles their clients! They definitely go above and beyond in customer satisfaction! It was a pleasure doing business with them from the first phone call to the completion of the job!! They will have my business for any future issues!
